Glory Road at Mountain Springs Church in Colorado Springs

Glory Road is the early childhood area for children 3 years old –kindergarten.
Service times
- 6:30PM on Saturday night
- 9:00am on Sunday morning
- 11:00am on Sunday morning
Check in Process:
The children first check into their age appropriate classes. The parent will fill out a security tag with an assigned number and then sign the child into their class. If a child needs their parent during the service their number will be displayed on a LCD screen in the main sanctuary.
Age breakup for classrooms:
- 3-31/2 year olds
- 31/2-4 year olds
- 4-41/2 year olds·
- 41/2-5 year olds
- 5-51/2 year olds
- 51/2 –kindergarten
Goal:
The goal of Glory Road is to give the children a life-long impression of the heart of God and what He has for their future. Each child will have the opportunity to be greeted by friendly teachers, who have a heart for children and a heart to serve Jesus. Having children in our midst is a Holy privilege and we strive to respond to Jesus’ words: “Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.”(Mark 9:37)NKJV
Opportunity:
The children who attend at the glory road are given an opportunity to start learning about the Bible through stories in the Old and New Testament these stories are brought to life by storytelling with skits, puppets and flannel boards.
Worship, Bible, & Prayer
- The children come out into the main room for a time of corporate worship where they sing and dance to a variety of contemporary Christian songs and children’s worship songs.
- The children also learn a bible story every week at this time. We use a variety of curriculum at this time that are fun and age appropriate for preschoolers.
- We open and close our corporate time with prayer.
- We want your child’s experience at Glory road to be filled with sound Biblical principles.
The parents also have the opportunity to volunteer in their child’s
classroom and to impact the next generation with the truth of Jesus Christ.
Adventure:
The top priority we have for each child is, to have a great experience at church. We want each child’s experience at Glory Road to be filled with smiles and positive reinforcement.
Classroom activities include:
· Age appropriate craft or color sheet that coordinates with the bible story for that week
· Snack that is peanut free(other allergies will be handled on a case by case basis)
· Overview and fellowship time revolving around the weeks bible lesson
· Free play time with puzzles, play dough, etc…
Life commitment:
As a children’s ministry team we strive to plant the seeds of faith in the youngest among us to come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and life comforter.
