Worship is our highest calling – there is nothing more important we can do in this life. At Mountain Springs Church we believe that our corporate worship gatherings should be a time of unified high praise and intimate worship. In scripture we see a call to action in praise and worship through three foundational truths:
We were Created to Worship
“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." Isaiah 43:7
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.” Psalm 150:6
We are Commanded to Worship
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:36-38
The Primary Purpose of the Church is Worship
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
One way we walk out these truths is through sung worship. As we come before our Maker and Redeemer with thanksgiving we meet our Living God in the house of worship. Through exaltation of Jesus we have an intimate encounter with a Savior. By abandoning our hearts with worship in our mouths, we honor the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and fulfill our place in the church as a worshipping people!
